Here’s an overview of the entities that serve the sailing community on the US side of Lake Memphremagog.
Memphremagog Yacht Club (MYC)
A social sailing club based in Newport, VT that facilitates:
- fun sailing races
- BBQ and potluck get-togethers as well as member raft-ups on the water
- group crane rental to launch and haul-out keel boats and other non-trailer launchable vessels
There is a ‘pop-up’ quality to the yacht club – during the sailing season MYC members keep their boats at one of the three marina facilities described below or on a City-managed or private mooring. Offseason, most of the boats are stored in backyards, fields and sheds around the Northeast Kingdom and in the Eastern Townships. Learn more about MYC membership.
